stanley-lau:

I was contacted by Capcom to provide new character artworks for their new upcoming game Street Fighter III Third Strike Online Edition. Here are the sets of characters that I have created.

First of all, I am a huge fan of Street Fighter and was a big part of my teenage years. I remember  I would spend the entire day in the arcade playing with my classmates. As a co-founder of IFS and creative director for many years. I had many chances to work with some of the biggest clients in the entertainment industry. However, being a commercial artist, I’m forced to step back in my comfort zone and personal style and deliver the best works that meets my clients expectation and needs instead of my own. It is hard to get excited over a project when one must work with an “objective” mindset.

When Francis from Capcom USA contacted me to work on a Street fighter, I was a little skeptical at first. However, when he told me I could illustrate all of the characters artworks and covers for Street Fighter III Online Edition, in my own style. It has certainly been a long while since I got excited over a project.

Once again, I would like to give my deepest gratitude to the team at Capcom USA for giving me the privilege of working with them and believing in me and my art. It was fun working with you guys and I’m looking forward to our next collaboration.

DC’s next film gets Official Tittle: Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice
For almost a year now the world has wondered just what the sequel to 2013’s Man of Steel would be titled. It was recently dubbed “Batman vs. Superman” by Warner Bros. but with the caveat it was a working title only.  Wednesday Warner Bros. announced the official full title - Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
In addition to confirming what we already know about the film – that it would feature Superman against Batman – it also formalizes it in a boxing context with the use of “v” as opposed to “vs.” or “versus.”
